Dr. Kim was born in Incheon, South Korea. He immigrated with his family to Canada when he was 4 yrs old. He grew up in Edmonton completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta. Afterwards he went to California to study Chiropractic at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now known as the Southern California University of Health Sciences). He moved to Calgary after his studies to get married and settle down. He has been practicing at Bow Valley Chiropractic since 2002. Dr. Kim uses techniques that include Diversified (hands-on) adjusting and Activator (instrument) adjusting. At present, when he is not running, watching action movies with his 7 yr old, or watching the Edmonton Oilers lose, Dr. Kim enjoys chatting with people and helping them move easier and feel better.
Julie loves what she does and her sessions are a combination of deep tissue massage therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, osteopathic techniques, muscle energy techniques, Traditional Chinese cupping, Bars Access Consciousness, stretching & therapeutic exercise. Acknowledging physical, emotional, mental & spiritual levels, she has a deep understanding of anatomy and how all systems of the body communicate individually and as a whole.
Outgoing and passionate for life, Julie continues her intensive practice of spirituality and self inquiry. She enjoys spending time with good friends, horses, riding English & bareback, going to meditations, playing music, doing Bikram yoga, ballet and tap dance.
Dr. J. Sarah Kim is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor and Registered Acupuncturist. She graduated from University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree and after graduation she completed a four-year program at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her 4 years of intensive training included the study of acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, tuina, dietary and lifestyle therapy. All of which is placed on helping to restore and coordinate the function of the body as a whole, enhancing its ability to defend against disease, to regenerate and to self regulate.
Having always had a passion for health and our well being, she was very drawn to the idea of holistic healing. Sarah’s approach to treatment is designed to not only alleviate pain and discomfort through all natural methods, but also uncover the root of the problem for more lasting effects.
Balwinder Marwaha is a proud Canadian, born and raised in Calgary. He has a passion for the outdoors and of course, ice hockey! Balwinder has been a small business owner for over 15 years, and loves giving back to the community.
